1. About these terms
These terms cover your use of the Takumi Tech Ltd website and Inkling, our iOS journal app. By using them, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If a separate written agreement applies to a business project, that agreement governs the project scope, fees, responsibilities, and acceptance criteria.
The App Store distribution and your use of an Apple device are also subject to Apple’s applicable terms. Inkling’s App Store licence is governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, unless another licence is expressly supplied with the app. These terms do not replace mandatory consumer rights.
2. 30-day trial and lifetime unlock
Inkling offers an optional 30-day free trial. The trial begins after you select Start Free Trial and Apple confirms the free trial transaction. Restoring the trial uses the original trial period and does not reset it. No payment is taken automatically at the end of the trial. After the trial ends, you can continue reading and exporting existing entries; creating and editing entries requires the optional lifetime unlock.
The lifetime unlock is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase, not a recurring subscription. The intended price is ¥30 in mainland China or US$5.99 in the United States. Prices in other regions, taxes, and the final amount are displayed by Apple before you confirm. You are charged only after you confirm a purchase through Apple’s purchase sheet.
“Lifetime” means a permanent entitlement to the unlocked app functionality for the eligible Apple purchase, without recurring fees. It does not promise that a particular device, Apple service, future operating system, or online service will remain available indefinitely, and does not promise every future separately offered product.
3. Purchases, restoration, and refunds
Apple handles payment processing. You may restore an eligible purchase in the app using the same Apple account that made the original purchase. Restoration and verification may require a network connection. The purchase entitlement is subject to Apple’s transaction status, including any refund or revocation.
For billing questions or refund requests, use Apple’s Report a Problem service. Refunds are governed by Apple’s processes and applicable law. We do not collect card details or issue a promise that Apple will approve a particular refund. Contact us if the app does not recognize an eligible purchase.
4. Your content and responsibilities
You retain your rights in the journal content you create. You are responsible for having the right to use material you add and for using the app lawfully. Do not use our products or website to infringe others’ rights, interfere with their operation, bypass access controls, or perform unauthorized activity.
Keep your device, Apple account, and journal passcode secure. We cannot recover a journal passcode or bypass system authentication.
5. Storage, sync, and backups
Inkling saves entries on your device. Optional iCloud sync covers journal text and related metadata using a private Apple CloudKit database. Photos, videos, audio recordings, document attachment files, and drafts currently remain local to the original device. Do not treat text sync as an attachment backup.
You are responsible for keeping independent copies of important content and checking that exports and backups contain what you need. Deleted content may not be recoverable. Apple services, device storage, network conditions, and system settings affect availability and sync. Our Privacy Policy explains the related data practices.
6. Website and business services
This website introduces our products and possible service directions. Descriptions are not an offer to deliver every listed capability in every project. The agreed project documentation determines deliverables, timescales, integrations, and responsibilities.
Export compliance coordination is not legal advice, regulatory approval, certification, or testing. Relevant qualified professionals and bodies make those determinations. AI agents, document checks, and monitoring results depend on source material, rules, permissions, and technical conditions; appropriate people must review consequential decisions.
Business illustrations on this website show representative working scenes. They are not customer testimonials or evidence of a particular client engagement.
7. Availability and applicable rights
We may maintain or update the website and app, including to address security, compatibility, or service changes. Third-party services, networks, and device conditions may cause interruptions or errors. We do not promise uninterrupted operation or compatibility with every future system.
Any limitation of responsibility applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law. These terms do not exclude rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.
8. Intellectual property and third-party services
Takumi Tech Ltd and the relevant rights holders retain their rights in the app, website design, branding, code, and other protected materials. These terms grant no ownership of that material. Your lawful use of the app is subject to its applicable licence.
Third-party links are provided for relevant information or services. Their operators control their content and terms. Apple, iCloud, and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc.; Takumi Tech Ltd is an independent developer.
9. Updates and contact
